Document physical Verification during admission at IITs
List of documents to be physically verified at the time of Institute admission:
- Compulsory for all candidates
- Provisional Seat Allotment Letter Seat (Confirmation Letter issued by JoSAA).
- Class X Marksheet/Certificate or Birth Certificate (for Date of Birth).
- Class XII Marksheet/Pass certificate (Qualifying Examination).
- Medical Certificate [in the specified format provided on the JoSAA-2024 website, Annexure 7].
- Transfer Certificate/College or School Leaving Certificate/Migration Certificate.
- A valid Photo ID.
- A copy of Registration letter received after Online Registration along with balance Institute fee receipt (From Joining Institute)
- Passport size Photographs
- A copy of Cancelled cheque or the bank account details of both the parent and student
- Registration of ABC Account (Academic bank of credits)
- JEE Advanced Rank details
- JoSAA Fee payment details
- Additional documents (if applicable):
- Certificate of Category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable [in the format provided in the information Brochure of JEE (Advanced) 2024 or as per Government of India Format, available on the JoSAA-2024 website]. Issued on or after 01.04.2024 is applicable
- Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable [in the format provided in the information Brochure of JEE (Advanced) 2024].
- Certificate of OCI/PIO.
- For foreign candidates: Passport/Citizenship certificate.
- Claiming Fee waiver/remission (if applicable)
- Annual family income certificate (including mother and father) issued on or after 01.04.2024 by the Competent Authority (original to be submitted at the time of physical reporting).
- If one of the parents is not an earning member, PAN card shall be submitted instead of the income certificate.
- Scanned version of original PAN cards of father and mother along with xerox copies of PAN cards duly self-attested.
- Scanned version of original Aadhaar cards of father and mother along with xerox copies of Aadhaar cards duly self-attested.
- Income tax returns of father and mother filed with the income tax authorities if any.
- An income affidavit on nonjudicial stamp paper of value and sworn in before first class magistrate or notary public.
- Annual salary certificate for those in government or private service.
- Annual Pension certificate in case of income from pension or family pension of parent or guardian
Note: All the above documents should be in original for physical verification and scanned copies of Class X and XII marksheet/certificate, Photograph, Signature along with parent’s mobile number and email ids should be kept ready if needed. However, documents required for physical verification may vary from institute to institute depending on their policy guidelines.
