Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) is a center of higher technical education in India. NSUT (formerly Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, affiliated to University of Delhi) is an autonomous Institution under Govt. of NCT of Delhi. It was established in the year 1983 as Delhi Institute of Technology with the objective of meeting the growing demands of manpower in the emerging fields of engineering and technology with a close social and industrial interface. It is beautifully landscaped, with lush green and fully residential campus sprawling in 145 acres of land with all facilities including faculty & staff residences, hostels, cooperative mess, sports complex, banks, kiosks and other amenities. The main campus of the University located at sector-3 Dwarka, houses the diverse community of students, faculties, staff and visitors. Over a period of time, the university has carved a niche for itself, both nationally and internationally, for excellence in education and technical research.
Govt. of NCT Delhi has expanded the NSUT in 2020 further into two more campuses namely East Campus (Formerly Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies & Research) at Geeta Colony and West Campus (Formerly Ch. Brahm Prakash Government Engineering College) at Jaffarpur. The Main Campus of University is located at Sector-3 Dwarka, having a lush green campus spread across 145 acres, to house a diverse community of students, faculty, staff and visitors. A total of thirteen academic departments works in concerted awareness to ensure that students receive the highest possible quality education with wide assimilation.
The University has a smart APJ Lecture Theatre Complex which is energy-efficient, and has cutting-edge technology as its essential feature in every aspect of usage. It has ten Smart Lecture Halls with a seating capacity of 125 each, and a Multipurpose Hall with 270 audience seating capacity. These lecture halls have been equipped with audio/video system for recording and live streaming of lectures, VRV air- conditioning, Godrej furniture, CCTV surveillance system, acoustics etc.
NSUT continues to be a prominent place in popular surveys. The University has been ranked among the top engineering colleges including the IITs and NITs. An amalgamation of its efforts to maintain this benchmark has steered NSUT towards reaching newer and bigger goals. The students have won laurels for their alma mater in several national and international competitions. Year after year, students have availed internships (in MNCs, PSUs and foreign universities). A number of students of NSUT have also been offered admission in the MS/MBA programs in some of the most prestigious universities across the globe. This provides them with an exposure to the world beyond and helps them to imbibe variegated learning experience. Students have also succeeded in getting their research papers published in reputed international journals and conference proceedings every year. To inculcate team values and nurture the talent of students, various university level societies and clubs are active in the campus like Technical Societies, Non-Technical Societies, Recreational Clubs, Literary Clubs, Automotive Clubs and Community Service Initiatives. The University is known for its brilliantly organized inter college fests-Moksha and Innovision-which are frequented by stars and musicians of international repute & attended by students from all over India. These fests facilitate holistic development, promote team culture and help free the mind & spirit.
East Campus: The Campus is located at Geeta Colony, East Delhi having an area of 8.5 acres in which a state-of-art campus with ultra-modern facilities and lush green ambiance all around is built. It has four academic departments, decorated with highly educated faculty members and well-equipped laboratories. This campus is well connected to the city transport system like city-bus, metro etc. and has the facilities like centralized air conditioning in all the labs, RO system for drinking water, well equipped library, centralized computer center, playground, rain harvesting system, nursery etc.
West Campus: The Campus is located on the outskirts of South-West Delhi, which is approximately 8 Km. from Najafgarh & about 15 Km. from Dwarka Mor Metro Station. A large number of buses ply on this route and the construction of Delhi Metro is also advancing closer to the Campus. It provides adequate opportunities to budding engineers and makes them ready to be adequately shaped for taking the challenges of evolving national and international engineering market. All the laboratories are well equipped. Since 2015, an English Language Laboratory has also been added where mock interviews, group discussions, lectures etc are conducted for the students. There is the summer and winter training programs for all the students such as survey camp for the Civil Engineering students so that their field surveying skills can be honed.
