Birla Institute of Technology: Off Campus Patna came into existence in the year 2006 along with the initiative of Government of Bihar with a vision to provide quality education to the students of Bihar who wishes to pursue their career in technical education. By far, BITP is one of the best equipped, technically sound professional colleges in the state of Bihar. It has fully networked campus. The infrastructure includes 25 Acres of academic space including 1 Girl’s hostel and 03 Boy’s Hostel with the capacity of approximately 300 each (1200 Approx.). BIT Patna is committed to provide state-of-the-art facilities to its students.
Currently Institute is offering following programmes: Bachelor of Technology Degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Masters of Business Applications (MBA), Masters of Technology (M. Tech.) in CSE, Masters of Technology (M. Tech.) in ECE (Wireless Communications), Ph.D. Programme in Science, Engineering and Management.

In addition, we have a well-trained coach and guide to support and encourage sports activities for the students. BIT PATNA provides the students with many opportunities to demonstrate their talent on a platform much wider than their immediate peer circle in the form of sports events like the Inter college sports fest, Annual Athletic Meet and various inter/intra state sports meet.
There are large number of Student Societies and Clubs, which supports students to nurture their hobbies and other creative talents for relaxation and entertainment. These Societies and Clubs include, PRATIBIMB Dramatics & Cultural Society, Megapixel Photographic Club, Students Chapter of IEEE, Literally Club, DIVYA Society for Soft Skills, Robotics Society, SAE Chapter- Automobile, ASME Student Society, IGNITE Technological Society etc. Students of BIT Patna every year organises the tech fest TECHNIKA to showcase their talent and come up with their unique and innovative ideas. Several traditional festivals like Saraswati Puja and Viswakarma Puja are also celebrated with great devotion on campus. National Social Services (NSS) group of the institute organizes various activities like Tree Plantation Ceremony, Blood Donation Camp, and Yoga Day, Cancer Day, Youth Parliament etc.
