Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research University is a deemed University offering UG, PG, PhD courses in Engineering and Technology. The college’s first campus was established in 1997 at Vadlamudi. Later, another off campus started at Deshmukhi near Hyderabad. It has been awarded Deemed University status, is approved by AICTE and NBA, and is an ISO 9001:2000 certified institution.

The college, established under the aegis of the Lavu Educational Trust, is the brainchild of its founder, Dr. Lavu Rathaiah. Having made a mark at the plus two level of education, Vignan Group started schools across the state before venturing into professional courses like Engineering and Pharmacy.

Vignan Group today has academics activities ranging from schools, junior and degree colleges, PG Centres, Engineering Colleges, Pharmacy Colleges and B.Ed. Colleges. VEC was the first of the engineering colleges to start functioning, in 1997. The college is located along the Guntur – Tenali highway. In 2008, the college was accredited by NAAC and awarded an ‘A’ grade. The institution has been conferred with Deemed-to-be University status by UGC from January 2009.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates born on or after 1st July, 2005 and a pass in Intermediate or its equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate marks are eligible to appear for the admission test.
• Admission to B.Tech./B. Sc (Hons) Agriculture/B. Pharmacy programmes will be through Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test, V-SAT an on-line test, conducted by Vignan’s Deemed to be University on all India basis.
• 2 years Agriculture diploma holders are also eligible for admission into B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture.
• Candidates qualified in AP EAPCET or TS EAMCET / JEE(Mains) / JEE(Advanced) with a minimum 60% aggregate marks in the +2 / Intermediate examinations are also eligible for admission.

Admission procedure:

• The admission will be on the basis of the performance in the V-SAT /EAMCET/EAPCET/JEE-2024.
• The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the RANK obtained in V-SAT /EAMCET/EAPCET/JEE-2024, provided if he/she gets minimum 60% aggregate marks in the +2 / Intermediate examination as per the eligibility criteria. Admissions will be purely on merit and by following the reservation policy applicable to Vignan’s University.
• A common merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the entrance test and they will be called for the counselling to be held at the Vignan’s University premises at Vadlamudi, Guntur District, A.P. through common ranking.

Fee Structure:

Candidates can obtain application on payment of Rs. 1200/- in person from Indian Banks – AP & Telangana or Vignan Schools or Colleges at Guntur, Hyderabad, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Ongole and Vignan offices at Vijayawada, Guntur & Hyderabad.

Tuition fee for BTech programs vary depending on the program and can be paid in two instalments semester wise.

Category A: Admission through V-SAT/EAMCET/JEE(Mains/Advanced).

Fee under this category tuition fee for BTech CSE and CSE specializations, IT is Rs. 2,60,000 along with non-refundable admission fee Rs.20,000. For biotechnology, bioinformatics, biomedical, Food, B. pharmacy, ECE, tuition fee Rs.1,80,000 along with non-refundable admission fee Rs.20,000. For Agriculture, chemical, civil, robotics, textile, mechanical and electrical, tuition fee Rs.1,00,000 along with non-refundable admission fee Rs.20,000.

Category B: Open for candidates who have above 60% aggregate marks in the +2/intermediate examination of AP and TS. (Terms and conditions apply).
