SRM Engineering college was first started in Kattankulathur near Chennai. In 2002, UGC conferred deemed status to SRMIST comprising Ramapuram Dental College and in 2003 SRM college was bought under the ambit of SRMIST deemed to be University.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility for BTech Programs Under Regular Stream:

Nationality and Age: Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE (UG). Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India who have not taken the SRMJEEE(UG) must apply under international student category only. Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.

Applicant should have passed in Higher secondary examination (10, +2 pattern) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with a minimum of 60% aggregate  ( 3 subjects) in Physics (mandatory) , Mathematics (mandatory) and at least one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Information Technology / Informatics Practices / Engineering Graphics / Botany and (or) Zoology as major subjects in regular subjects in regular stream from any board within India , CBSE , ISCE Matriculation , IB or NIOS.

Passed 10+2 examination with physics and Mathematics (mandatory) and at least one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Information Technology / Informatics Practices / Engineering Graphics/technical vocational subject/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies. Obtained at least 50 % marks in the above subject taken together.

The admission will be purely on the basis of the performance in the SRMJEEE (UG) for all the campuses. For SRM University admission to BTech Programs through SRMAPET entrance examination conducted by SRM University-AP or SRMJEEE. Being called for the entrance test and enrolment does not necessarily mean accepting eligibility. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite eligibility for admission.

Fee Structure:

Tuition fee for BTech courses at SRMIST, Kattankulathur Campus range from Rs.2,50,000 to 4,00,000. In addition, One-time non-refundable Rs.10,000.

Tuition fee for BTech courses at SRMIST, Vadapalani Campus range from Rs.1,00,000 to 3,00,000. In addition, One-time Book fee Rs.15,000 and CDC fee Rs.25,000 would be applicable yearly.

Tuition fee for BTech courses at SRMIST, Ramapuram Campus range from Rs.1,25,000 to 3,00,000. In addition, One-time non-refundable Rs.10,000.

Tuition fee for BTech courses at SRMIST, Trichy Campus range from Rs.1,25,000 to 2,00,000. In addition, One-time non-refundable Rs.10,000.

Tuition fee for BTech courses at SRM University, Delhi-NCR, Gaziabad Campus range from Rs.1,75,000 to 3,00,000. In addition, One-time non-refundable Rs.10,000, Extracurricular activities non-refundable Rs.10,000 and security deposit Rs.1000.

Tuition fee for BTech courses at SRM University, Delhi-NCR, Sonepat Campus range from Rs.1,75,000 to 3,00,000. In addition, library/sports charges Rs.6000, Career development fee Rs. 10,000, Registration and counselling charges non-refundable Rs.15,000.
