Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) has been established by the Government of Gujarat as an Autonomous University and has been mandated to bring about significant change in Engineering Education with respect to Technical and Managerial knowledge in the area of Infrastructure. The objective of this Institute is to serve as a Centre of excellence in Research and Teaching in all areas pertaining to Infrastructure, and the Institute has a vision of acquiring a status of National importance in Infrastructure and related areas.
IITRAM offers Bachelor’s and Master of Technology programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. BTech in computer science and engineering started from the year 2022. The Institute also offers Ph.D. studies in various fields of Basic Sciences, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences.
IITRAM Hostel rooms are airy, spacious and furnished with basic amenities. It has cafeteria with mess facilities where flavours of healthy food mingle with the happy faces of students. Sports plays an important role in the all-round development of students. Focusing on this aspect, the hostel provides facilities for indoor & outdoor games.
ITRAM has successfully entered in its tenth year with a sole target of excellence in teaching and learning process intermixed with all other extracurricular activities. To groom the overall personality of the students the institute organizes events like paper reading competitions, group discussions, creative advertising, poster presentation and various seminars and workshops. Different clubs have been set up under the purview of student council like Nest-Nature, Ecology, Surroundings & Trekking club involved in the ecological & greener methods to conserve nature and to spread & explore ideas & awareness for the conservation of ecology and nature, robotics and Aeromodelling (RA) club focuses mainly on developing skills in the domain of mechatronics, aerospace, 3D printing, Défense, control system, aerodynamics and industry 4.0. The students joining this scheme develop many behavioural interactive skills. Students visit the rural areas as NSS volunteers during the camps organized by NSS, IITRAM. Another social initiative of IITRAM is Dayatva which provide quality education, extend help and support to highly deserving, yet unfortunately lesser privileged children.
IITRAM also has the privilege of joining hands with e-Yantra, an initiative of IIT-Bombay sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the National Mission for ICT in Education (NMEICT) program. IITRAM institute, itself equipped with the necessary labs, acts as the nodal centre in its part of Gujarat for organizing & managing such things.
