Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (IIIT Lucknow) located at Chak Ganjaria, C.G. City, Lucknow is one of the 20 IIITs being set up by the Central Government in Public Private Partnership mode. The institute was set up by the Government of India Ministry of Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Industry partner Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Limited under Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, at a ratio of 50:35:15 respectively between three parties. It was declared to be Institute of National Importance by Government of India under IIIT Act No. 23 of 2017.

IIIT Lucknow started its first batch of B.Tech. in Information Technology with an intake of 50 students from the academic session 2015-16. Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science- B.Tech.(CS) from the year 2019. Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence– B.Tech. (CSAI) from the year 2020. Institute is going to offer a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Business– B.Tech. (CS&B) from the academic year 2021. M.Tech in Computer Science and PhD.

IIIT Lucknow has excellent sports facilities, including a well-equipped gymnasium, outdoor sports fields, and indoor sports facilities for games like table tennis, chess, and carrom. Axios the technical club of IIIT Lucknow constituted in 2019 with the aim to spread applied computer science culture among the students of our institute. It’s a community of highly enthusiastic students indulging in competitive programming, ethical hacking, web designing and al other aspects of information technology. Equinox is the annual technical fest organized at this institute. Different cultural societies functioning are Zephyr-Dance Society. Goonj-Drama Society. Utkrisht-Fine Arts Society.
