JAC IISER Info-Process
JAC-IISER
The Government of India has established the IISERs at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati to integrate and promote interdisciplinary science education and research. Over the years, the IISERs have been successfully attracting talented young minds. An overarching goal of the IISERs is to enable students to shape the nation by inventing and implementing sustainable solutions for societal problems through research in science. In a short span of time, the IISERs have generated an incredible amount of intellectual property in the form of publications and patents
IISER Counselling is conducted generally in three rounds followed by one post allotment Round. The number of rounds of counselling is not predictable as the vacancy may arise where the students withdraw the allotted seat if not satisfied. First Round is for the qualified IISER Admission Test or KVPY Basic Science stream. Second round is for the JEE Advanced qualified students. The final round for SCB students and to fill any vacancies that may arise after JEE advanced. Last year the number of Rounds went up to eleven.
Admission to the Four year BS program in Engineering Sciences and Economics Sciences is offered only by IISER Bhopal and Five Year BS and BS-MS Dual degree programme at other IISERs will be coordinated through a pan-IISER Joint Admissions Committee for all IISERs across India and is coordinated centrally through a web portal www.iiseradmission.in

Similarly, for boards which follow a semester system, the marks scored in the final two semesters will be considered.
- If a board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade-sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the board specifying the equivalent marks and submit it before the deadline of the mark-sheet submission.
